Privacy Policy

FluentPath Academy ("we", "us") provides online French tuition. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

• When you make an enquiry or book: your name, email address, and — if you choose to give it — your phone number, your current level, when you are available and anything you tell us in the message field.
• When you take the free level test: your answers and your result. If you give an email address, we store it with the result so we can send it to you.
• When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address and the date you confirmed your subscription.
• When you leave a review: the name you publish under, your rating and your review text.
• When you visit the site: the page you viewed, the date and time, the referring page and a coarse location derived from your IP address. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, to run and schedule your lessons, to send the newsletter you asked for, to publish reviews you have submitted for publication, and to understand which pages of the site are useful. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing.

Who else can see it

Our website and email are hosted by Hostinger, which processes data on our behalf. Payments, where they are taken, are handled directly between you and us by bank transfer or e-transfer — we do not take card details on this website and we do not store them.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and lesson records are kept for as long as you are a student and for seven years afterwards, so we can meet our tax and accounting obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Level test results are kept for two years. Visit records are kept for twelve months.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email we send. To make any of these requests, write to hello@fluentpath.academy and we will respond within thirty days.

If you are in Canada and you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may contact your national data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
